Vivid, artistic and beautifully sophisticated, Nīla Lathāngi unfolds upon a magnificent Royal Cobalt Blue canvas, enlivened by graceful botanical forms and unexpected contrasts.

Across the rich blue body climb elegant floral vine motifs in muted berry pink, teal green and slate grey. Their flowing placement gives the saree a beautiful sense of movement — almost as though delicate creepers are travelling naturally across the blue field.

And therein lies her name: Nīla, for her commanding blue, and Lathāngi, evoking a form adorned by graceful vines.

Framing the body is a broad silver-grey woven border, enriched with stylised floral and scrolling motifs in muted metallic gold and soft green. A fine yellow accent along the edge introduces just enough brightness to connect the border beautifully with the contrasting pallu.

The pallu brings an exuberant change of mood, moving from the cobalt floral field into a vibrant leaf/lime-green panel, highlighted with warm yellow sections and repeating orange-and-green floral forms. A cobalt section finished with fine metallic horizontal lines anchors the brighter palette and creates a beautifully balanced finish.

The coordinated leaf-green blouse piece, complemented by warm yellow borders and delicate floral detailing, completes the ensemble.

Fabric Care
