The saree features a beautiful clear sky-blue body, kept largely plain so that the natural texture of the cotton and the freshness of the colour can take centre stage. Towards the lower portion, the simplicity transforms into an elaborate narrative composition featuring traditional figurative scenes, dancers and ornamental architectural frames, rendered in contrasting ivory and charcoal-grey tones.

Its pallu is the artistic highlight — an intricate tableau of majestic stylised peacocks surrounded by flowering vines and foliage, framed by traditional ornamental bands. Additional figurative panels enrich the composition, giving the saree the distinctive storytelling character of the Jodhpuri Kalamkari series.

A fine muted metallic-toned edge adds just enough definition without taking attention away from the artwork.

🌿 Fabric Care

For the first wash, soak the saree briefly in lukewarm water with the enclosed rock salt and wash separately using a mild detergent.

For subsequent washes, gentle hand washing is recommended. Avoid bleach and harsh detergents. Dry in shade and iron on a moderate cotton setting. Use the enclosed starch powder whenever you prefer a crisper traditional drape.
